This product is marketed as an EPA-approved pesticide product. As such, we cannot advertise it as "food-grade," recommend that anyone eat it or use it contrary to label directions. It is a totally untreated, natural product, unlike "pool-grade" diatomaceous earth.

It will not hurt your carpet or furniture. This is a required direction from the EPA to prevent excessive skin contact with the insecticide.
